Few people know Minnesota trees like Jim Ostvig. As an ISA Certified Arborist and former owner of Ostvig Tree Care, he has built a career around providing practical, science-based recommendations that put the long-term health of trees first.

A third-generation member of the Ostvig family, Jim purchased Ostvig Tree Care in 1987 and spent decades growing one of Minnesota’s longest-operating tree care companies before passing leadership to the fourth generation. Today, he continues serving as the company’s Senior Tree Care Expert, sharing decades of arboricultural knowledge to help homeowners make informed decisions about their trees.
